Yup.

I'm going to have to bite.

This is something that I've wanted to see for a very long time. I've become rather tired of the venerable Tamiya editions (I've constructed three) and now that they have ceased manufacture of their 1945 configuration, I was wondering how long we would wait until another Second World War version would appear.

When can we see some renders or sprue shots? I've done a search and can find nothing on this subject. Very much a bolt from the blue.

I've built 1 of the 1/350 Tamiya WWII Missouri's and 2 of the 1/350 New Jersey's, with the Pontos sets and I'm sure they were fantastic kits back in the earl-mid 80's when they we're released, and still are in most ways but I've never been able to get past how far off the shape of those bows are. Really fat and clunky compared to the real ships. The old 1/350 Revell New Jersey is much better in that regard, so I sure hope Very Fire finally gets it right.

Great news from a new Very Fire 1/350 Missouri.
Especially when the bow will be at last as it belongs.
referring to come pics when the Iowa class was in Drydock
and looking from below in front you can only say:
'' thats is a bow like a womans figure ''
Any idea off a price and is it included with ''goodies''

greetings Chris

From the picture, it is most likely the icm kit coming out packed with goodies from flyhawk. I dont have the pictures with me, left them on home PC, but would post them in the evening.

I saw the pics on the Hobby>Easy site and yes it is the ICM kit. And there is also a small notice that this is the ICM kit.

Greetings Christian

Thanks PetrOs, great info, CAD looks awesome ,finally a new Mighty Mo,
For the initial batch of the venerable Tamiya's battleships , the KG V Class is only one missing a new version.

Color me thrilled. I am somewhat amazed that this has slipped in under the radar.

Any estimation of how long it will be before this is generally available?

I'll definitely get one even though it's the 1945 version, but do you know if there are plans by Veryfire to release a modernized 1/350 USS Missouri later on?

I really hope the kit dimensions are correct and not overscale or underscale.

I assume no word on price yet.....

Does Veryfire plan doing multiple boxings and eras? WWII, Korea Vietnam, etc. and each of the ships?

Price would be around 200 EUR, I just got the dealer prices, I would be opening pre-orders soon, and ordered some already.

Do you know if any other 1/350 Iowa class BB's in Korean War, Vietnam or 80-90's versions are in the works for later releases?
