Impatiently waiting for Trumpeter to announce their release in 1/350.

Here's hoping they don't forget the lower hull like they did on their 1/700 New York and their Yorktown! :heh:

I am principally a larger scale builder, but I occasionally venture into smaller things.

I'll be truthful: I will not buy any 1/700 that does not have the lower hull (unless it is one hell of a deal). Even in waterline dioramas, the full hull opens up a lot more possibilities. I stand very much in the 'waterline is half-a-ship' camp.

I find it disturbing that the greatest and most reliable provider of 1/700 scale full hull ship kits is moving away from them (apparently).

Anyway, in other news we are spoiled for choice with all the new, wonderful 1/350 scale offerings. Please, keep it up!

The number 1# funnel is taller, some minor details in searchlights(I might be wrong about the searchlights). The kit can be depicted for IJN Kongo I guess with minimal effort, cause IJN Kongo had the taller funnel upgrade later too.

OK, I'm confused. A google accident produced this page at Modelshipwrights, a site I don't follow.

And right there are Flyhawk catalog pics of Ajax and Achilles (but no J-K-L destroyers). I checked page 1 here and no apparent mention. Are we getting 1/700 Leanders? When?

I take it the lag time between when they announce stuff and it appears can be quite large, but do they usually eventually get to stuff they've publicly announced?

I just received news from Very Fire, that the 1/350 Missouri is coming out around Christmas, with renders and Boxart to be sent to me in 1-2 days.

Hi PetrOs, this a detailing set or a kit? WWII or modern?

Wow, finally a new up to date 1/350 Iowa class BB kit! If it has a more accurate hull, especially the bow, than the Tamiya kits they've already got my money X 2. I hope it's modern, but even if it's not I'll be getting at least one. This is great news, I hope this is for real.

You are kidding me? I just started the ICM kit :mad_1: .
Ok I have the Flyhawk pe set for it. And the ICM kit is nice, except the missing portholes.

From the picture, it is most likely the icm kit coming out packed with goodies from flyhawk. I dont have the pictures with me, left them on home PC, but would post them in the evening.

Ok, that make sense. On the pics we can see it easily as I said the aft portholes are missing on the ICM kit.

Greetings Christian

Yup.

I'm going to have to bite.

This is something that I've wanted to see for a very long time. I've become rather tired of the venerable Tamiya editions (I've constructed three) and now that they have ceased manufacture of their 1945 configuration, I was wondering how long we would wait until another Second World War version would appear.

When can we see some renders or sprue shots? I've done a search and can find nothing on this subject. Very much a bolt from the blue.
