If you scroll down to the 23 of April on this twitter page there are some more pictures of Flyhawks Bismarck in 1/700. It will probably be released in the near future judging by the pictures.

I know many here aren’t excited about yet another Bismark but personally I’m stoked for anything coming from Flyhawk and definitely am for this one!

I would prefer to see Flyhawk release some of the German light cruisers before Bismarck and Tirpitz. Have seen enough of those two to last me a life time. Time for some new ships in 1/700 plastic.

I totally agree!!!!!!!!! I have a Bismarck/Tirpitz and a Prince of Wales so I'll NOT buy another kit of those ships. I'd get an Anson or Howe or a Nurnberg or a Karlsruhe or an Atlantis. I bought a Legion and I'll get a Lance and I'll get a Kelly if they do one of her but not any of the first named because I have them even THOUGH I know that Flyhawk kits have much better detail.
Never done before = money out of my wallet. Done before = I'll wait for that never done kit.

I'll buy anything from Flyhawk as I know it will be the best ever. If it's a Bismarck...I'll get it; if it's a Prinz Eugen...I'll get it; if it's (especially) a Scharnhorst...I'll get it. :woo_hoo:

Awesome! and 1/700 Meng is best I guess for full hull being newest? So essentially just get the best Missouri on the market and go for that bridge conversion and you are fairly close to the fit. :woo_hoo:

Is Meng not a kit for kids without any details?

The consensus I heard on the new Meng Kit is that it is rather toylike, but, it is the only 1:700 Iowa class on the market that has bulkhead detail on the superstructure. There is no reason why the brand new Academy kit should also have lacked these crucial details that the majority of kits released now have.

The Flowers from Aoshima are a bit of a shock. From what I can work out there are two mast/bridge configurations but only long foc'sle. The pair in the foreground of the picture at the link above seem to be the same but with p/e. Here's hoping for two in the box.

As an aside, is there a discernible difference between Legion and Lance?

Shame they couldn't do a twin-pack, one short- and one long fo'c'sle Corvette.

Regarding the Flowers: this is a first announcement and there is no information at all, how many models will be included in one kit, if there will be additional variants etc. There are plenty of variants of this class, which are not so difficult to convert. If you want another version, which is not included in the first announcement, be either more patient, convert it yourself or buy one of the resin kits.

Regarding Lance and Legion. The middle platform between the torpedo tubes is a little bit different from what I can see, Lance has a couple of MGs that Legion does not have.. That is about it.

If they engineered it nicely the short foc'sle conversion could be fairly easy. I will be buying several, but probably not as many as the numbers of navies that operated this unlikely war-winner.

The photos of Legion and Lance show Lance as having (maybe) a couple of 20mms between the tubes which aren't present on Legion.
