Hi Mike,

I don't think it's available now. However I am constantly scanning Taobao stores to see if it's released. If it become available I'll either order from Taobao directly or use one of many Taobao buying agents. Of course you can always buy from your favorite eBay seller(s) sooner or later.

New by Loose Cannon in 1/700:

Chicopee class Tanker (AO): USS Chicopee and USS Housatonic (1942 fit during Operation Torch)

https://members.boardhost.com/Warship/msg/1639263532.html

I copy part of the message, because it is only temporarily stored at Steelnavy:

Quote:
This is Chicopee in my interpretation of the MS 17 colors, and Housatonic in her MS 12 Modified scheme.
If you’d like a kit please contact me at fuelmann (with 2 n’s) (numeral zero), (numeral six), at gmail dot com
The photoetch is very fiddly, so I suggest this kit for experienced modelers.
I’m trying something new here, offering the kit with emailed JPEG instructions, 11 pages total, for 4000 Philippine Pesos (about $92) or with printed out instructions for 4200 Pesos.
The printed out paper color sheets are included in the kit either way.
Thanks for looking,
David at Loose Cannon East

YES ! An excellent choice, although I am a little surprised they haven't done an HMS Warrior, as she still exists.

.

Atlantic Models have released their 1/350th kit of HMS Badsworth, a Type II Hunt class Escort Destroyer.

A very nice, split hull kit, with lovely detail.

I received two days ago the brand new Combrig's 1:700 Early USN destroyers. Gorgeous as anticipated. Resin and PE.
An example (this is USS Mayrant DD-31, a Paulding class ship):

Comparative of hulls for four of these new kits. From top: USS Smith, USS Mayrant, USS Porter and USS Allen (sorry for the wrong focal: Allen's hull isn't bended):

Also one of their new 1:700 Eagle class patrol boats :

Combrig has produced most classes of early USN destroyers. Curiously they passed Bainbridge and Truxtun classes...

Is this available yet???

I have been out-of-commission for about 5 years, and I am just getting caught-up on what is available that I need to buy to occupy the new vast amounts of shelf and closet-space I now have (before hopefully getting some things finished).

I got an email from Yi Xudong at Five Star Models about upcoming releases.

He sent photos of the Models, so that I could be prepared to buy what I wanted (which is usually “All of them”).

I don’t have names for these, but they are likely IJN, Manchukuo, Chinese, or Thai, dating to the period of WWI to WWII.

Here are the Photos.

IJN Cruiser Ioshima/Yasohima (From the former Republic of China Ning Hai/Ping Hai).

I do not know the names of any, and currently I have not succeeded in identifying any of them.

Obviously there is “One of these things that’s not like the others” in this list, as it is a Modern Ship, and not a WWII vintage Auxiliary, or small ship.

MB

Edit:

OH! And if anyone can help identify these, it would be really helpful. I didn’t get a response (yet) on the names)

Cool, a new kit of the minecruiser Itsukushima! :woo_hoo:

It is the last photo. The first photo shows the Japanese cruiser Ioshima or Yasohima, the former Chinese Ning Hai/Ping Hai.
