3D-WILD is thrilled to have a new partner who joins our family with their novel product line!! Dutch Fleet Naval Miniatures (Netherlands) specializes in modern and near-future warships. If a ship is too niche or too new, DFNM might have a model for you!

Please check the new products by DFNM: https://3d-wild.com/collections/dutch-f ... tures-kits

Anyone who has a warship kit in his/her wish list that falls into this category, please feel free to throw your suggestions at us!!

Good news that Dutch Fleet Naval Miniatures will be available again as upgraded versions! :thumbs_up_1:

On the Dutch Fleet Naval Miniatures' website, two projects were announced a long time ago:
Dutch Tromp class frigate
Australian research vessel Nuyina

Is there a chance that these will be released?

Some other ideas based on those, which Dutch Fleet Naval Miniatures had offer earlier on Shapeways:

Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker version of the Harry DeWolf class (CCGS Donjek Glacier, CGS Sermilik Glacier)

Modernised version of the Danish Thetis class OPV (with large hangar for MH-60R, new mast and radar (see for photos e.g. here).
Pakistan Yarmook-class corvette (based on Damen's OPV 1900 for Batch 1 and OPV 2600 for Batch 2)
Belgian/Dutch Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigate (ASWF)
German Braunschweig class corvettes (Batch 1 and 2)

Other ideas:

Australian Arafura class offshore patrol vessel (updated from the Arafura class relased earlier by Dutch Fleet Naval Miniatures)
Bulgarian MMPV 90 Hrabri class corvettes (based on the Arafura class relased earlier by Dutch Fleet Naval Miniatures, see e.g. here and here)
Dutch Snellius class hydrographic survey vessel
Turkish İstif-class frigate (Istanbul class)
Brazilian Tamandaré-class frigate

Dutch Fleet Miniatures had some nice models of the USNS Lewis and Clark, Kaiser, Watson and Supply in 1/700 scale on Shapeways that would be nice to have redone with the better detail offered by 3D Wild. Also, a new model of the new USNS Marshall AO would be nice. Very few good models of fleet Aux available. Hope these will be considered.

Thank you everyone! What we can say for sure now is that in April we will release the Royal Netherlands Navy ASWF, and possibly USN Constellation-class frigate too!

For other kits that you used to see on Shapeways, we are sure DFNM will re-release them soon, after necessary modifications are done!

Just as a passing thought...I don't think the final version of the USN CONSTELLATION class frigate has come to fruition. You may want to hold off on that offering or be possibly wearing egg on your face. That program is not exactly on solid ground design-wise.

Good news that other DFNM models will also likely be re-released!

One comment to the Hunter class:

I think that the armament depicted should be updated:
the main gun is now a 5"/62 caliber Mark 45 mod 4 (not a Leonardo 127/64 LW)
the anti-ship missiles should be NSM (not Harpoon)

Designer here:
I already noticed the main gun, it seems to have been a slight mistake when posing the models for the pictures . The Hunter will be shipped with the mk45 mod4.
Was not aware of the change to NSM yet, but I'll send an updated version to 3D-Wild.

Whatever destroyers or frigates, I don't care !

More important : the same question than for the CC Lexington, about import taxes, due to the current crazy war on custom taxes.
These kits being designed by a Dutch company, and as I live in the European Union, less than 150 kms from the Netherlands, I would not like to have to pay custom taxes or VAT for a product designed in the Netherlands but imported from elsewhere. For those who do not know, there are no import taxes inside the EU.
Therefore, I would like to know if the kits will be shipped directly from the Netherlands with no additional VAT or from the US.
If not shipped from the Netherlands, I would strongly advise 3D-Wild to organize with its European associates to produce in the EU kits designed in the EU.

Thanks Philippe, we are well aware of this issue and fully agree with your point. Overall, the demand of the number of kits is not high enough to make model stores/producers in EU interested in distributing/producing them in Europe. Our partners and us have been trying in the past few years, and warm-hearted customers in Europe also helped to look for solutions but the effort has not been very fruitful.

There isn't much we can do except for working hard on collaborative design/production of the kits to make them worth every EUR that EU buyer paid.

Yes, this is a problem. If I would buy a CC-1 Lexington 1/350 full hull at 318 $ + shipment = more or less 350 $, I would have to pay more than 100 $ additional, with the old customs rules. Meaning 2/3 of a Type 26 frigate... And in the coming months, nobody knows how high this will go.
So I will wait that you possibly release the 7 funnels version of the Lexington, which should be absolutely astonishing, and worth paying for it.

About your Dutch colleagues, if I understand well, it means that they do not produce anything in the Netherlands ? Just make designs and ship you the drawings for manufacturing. Like your Italian colleague for Lexington. It's just a pity !

The winners of this situation are the Chinese, because I do not have such a high extra expense when I buy for instance from SS Model or Goldenformula.

Thank you, PHILIPPE--for returning customers who continuously support our business like you, and for large/high value kits like CC-1, we may consider offering some discounts or partially share the tax/fees. You may send us an email about your interested items, and we'll see what we can do offline.

Any thoughts regarding the Italian Thaon di Revel MOPVs?
