Gun Line for IJN.

Crew: When you first begin your crew for the IJN gunline you will want

(2) gunners (+11/+11 in accuracy/reload)
(2)Repair (+11 or +12 in repair)
(1) Restore ( + 11 or +12 in restore)
(1)Scout(+11 or + 12 aircraft)
(2) Engineers(11 or 12 engine)
(1) BO( +14 or +15 Potential)
(2) AA Gunners( +11 or +12 in rld)

*Note: All the above sailors will start off as nuetral sailors, you will have to reach level 12 to convert to the japanese. Then, you must level up to the level to convert each class to his best skill ( ie. +12 repair converted into support sailor, than into repairman)

lvl 12: Kagero

Worst DD1 out of all the first DD for each nation. Can hold two torp launchers. But since were going gun line, no use for torpedoes. It can hold 3 guns. You will use 3.9" duals, than move onto 5.0" duals, than 5.5 at about lvl 22. You will have to switch off sailors to lvl all of them up.

*Make sure you dont pick the fubuki on the BO ship tree, wait until the akitsuki which comes a few lvls later.

lvl 20?: Akitsuki
Most powerful DD of the DD2, holds 4 guns up to 6.0" Duals. Has one torpedo launcher. Make sure you use the 5.5"L when you have to chance. use Heavy ammo.

lvl 24: Akitsuki- Kai
A remodel of the akitsuki, the kai has 200 less DP and a bigger engine. No other changes.

lvl 25: Tsukikei
Best of all the DD, holds 5, 5.5" Duals guns. has 7400 DP.

lvl 28: Agano
The first IJN CL. Holds respectible 7.9 Duals. From now on, use HE Light ammo. You can also use a scout plane. Equip the scout pilot on the support slot. Next, you will see a scout icon on THE SHIP. click the red circle under the scout icon. You can now slect planes. to launch a plane during battle, click the up arrow on the plane launch screen on the bottom of the screen. Press Ready and press "1" to select the plane. You can right click to move the plane. Let click to return to using your ship.

lvl 39: Mogami

The best CL in NF. Equiped with 5, 7.9 " guns. has incredible rang. Keep distance!

lvl 51: Mogami CA

Your First CA, use the 8" EL. Make sure you carry AP rounds for Armored ships.

lvl 59: Kongo

dont be discouraged by this ship. its a beginner BB and isnt that powerful even in the hands of an expert. Use the 14"L and play in BB1 games.

* You now have a choice to choose between the lvl 67 ISE or the lvl 68 FUSO.

lvl 67: Ise
The worst ship of its class in the game. This is going to be tough. Holds the same guns as kongo. 6, 14" L. It packs a punch when in range. It is outranged, you must rush head on to get into the range of the enemy.

lvl 68: Fuso

The only difference between fuso and ise is that fuso has 1 more support slot and 200 more DP. I suggest you take fuso.

*Note, dont use armor on the Kongo, Ise, or Fuso. It will slow you down and it wont help agaist other BB.

* When your gunners hit lvl 77, you can equip 16" N on the Fuso/Ise to increase range and firepower. Only 1 bind.
lvl 77: Nagato
The pride of Japan! The best BB3 in NF. Holds lvl 78 16.1" L. Use one bind of AP and one bind of HE Light. You can choose to hold around 6.0" deck, or run no armor to be extremely fast.

lvl 90: Yamato

Very powerful BB with lots of AA guns. Has 3 18.1" triples. The 18.1" L are lvl 91. Also holds 14 AA guns, 7 on each side. Use the 4.7 AA guns. Take this ship into battle slow. Do not rush. the golden angle for the AA guns is 26.

My Guide sucks, but I cant really explain it well unless you try the ships yourself.

I currently am lvl 98 and have a Yamato. If you have any questions about the gunline contact me on the forums, or ingame on the arizona server.

I love being a noob. =D

While I love US ships, I do pretty much whatever strikes my fancy.

My skills are nothing compared to what the rest of the board has to teach you =)

i dotn want to be a pain in the arse but i dont think the ISE is the worst ship of its class in the game, the ISE CV is deadly when I use it. with 6 fighters 10 DB and 12 6.1" guns or 8 14" guns. I can easily get 40k attack in a GB, which is alot for someone of my skill. Even the ISE BB with 12 14" L guns can destoy anything close too it, if you wait a bit for enemy CA's and lower to get close to you, you can crush them easily. However I still prefer the ISE CV for its dive bombers.

He's playing Jinzo13's account, which I was using for a bit earlier. Which is why you may see some of his ships named "Sovremenny" ^^

ok your right about that in a BB only game its pretty bad, but I never ply those, im more of a GB kind of guy, pick off a few DD,CL and CA before getting ripped in half.
