Not a ship.. However, very ship related. Currently working on the 1/700 scale airwing for the New Blue Ridge USS United States carrier kit. Not sure who's designing the ship kit. Since the USS US was a "never were", Brandon wanted a mix of "never were" aircraft, as well as some '50s actual, to go with it.

So far, we've got the AJ-1 Savage (production), the Vought XF5U "Flying Flapjack" (2 prototypes, never flown), the Grumman XF10F-1 Jaguar (prototype flown, cancelled before production), and the Douglas Model 1186-C "Flash Gordon Special" supersonic bomber (design proposal only).

Still working on the F4D-1 Skyray, F7F Tigercat, and F2Y Seadart.

Since the USS United States was started in 1949 and wouldn't be finished for a few years it would be expected to carry all of the aircraft available to the Navy during and immediately after the Korean War, including:

A1 Skyraider (1946)
F9F Panther (1949)
F9F Cougar (1952)
FJ-2/FJ-3 Fury (1954)
A4 Skyhawk (1956)
F8 Crusader (1958)

These would make a far more likely compliment that the fictional or X-series planes.
