Hi everyone, I am about to start building a static replica of the USS Forrestal. At 1/72, end to end will be 14'-3" long. I have been building wooden model RC airplanes for 50 years. This will be my first attempt at a ship.

My question is, with this being a static model and so big. What size wood would be best for the bulkheads, ribs and planking?

Thanks
