Guys,

I've been looking to purchase a tx/rx setup for my ship, but all I seem to see locally (south africa) are 2.4 Ghz radios. Are we going to see a time when megahertz radios are going to be gone forever?

Should I possibly look at purchasing a Ghz radio, although it is traditionally NOT for ships?

Definitely go for the GHZ! No channel issues and solid performance. I have two Futabas for my ships and love them!

Make sure you mount your Rx and antenna above the waterline and you will get a good signal strenght all the time.
