Hello everybody, sorry to bother you with my question, as i read , i often hear that plastic kit mast tend to be too big and in my experience way too easy to prone to broken.
That while i want to prepare in advance some brass rod to use as mast, but i don't know which diameter should i get for each specific scale 1/700,1/450,1/350 in general , can anyone already make mast from brass rod help me with that please ?

The different ships will have a different diameter if a pole or a tripod mast and if a small or a large ship. So find the real diameter of the mast and cross trees (yards) and divide by the scale. For example a 500 mm diameter mast for a 1:200 ship would be a scale 2.5 mm. So find the closest available size and work from there.

on Ebay many sellers for ABER Mast Yard arms and masts in 1/700 and 1/350. They are nicely tapered. Get those and see.
