Good day everyone!

This is my first post here on modelwarships. I've just returned to the hobby after many years away from it.

I've recently purchased a 1/350 Trumpeter kit of the USS Lassen and im planning to mount her in a diorama. This is my first attempt at this.

Last night I experimented with silicone, laying it onto the painted base and using a plastic spoon to shape the sea. However when the silicone dried it didnt dry clear and i was rather disappointed with the results.

After a trip to B&Q I found Geocel glazing sealant. Its super crystal clear and gives a lovely shine to my diorama. With the sea effect in position im looking to start building up the wake.

Just wanted to share my find with you all.

Thanks for looking

Martin
