I'm wanting to add canvas coverimg (dodgers I think they're called?) to some 1/350 railings.

So interested in materials and methods. I was thinking cigarette paper stiffened with white glue but keen to hear other suggestions.

Thanks,
Darren

White glue spanned across the gaps. Paint with non-waterbased paints to avoid melting them afterwards (alternatively, drybrushing carefully even with waterbased paints can work).

Ditto. But you can pre-color the white glue with either canvass color, or a slightly different shade of superstructure color. Brush on the colored white glue only on the outer side of the railings. This way, the dodgers won't need to be painted afterward, the railings will be visible on the inside (as they should), and the railings themselves won't need the inner surface painted to distinguish from the dodgers. Because the glue dries to a thin film, the impression of the railings will be visible through it. :wave_1:

Thanks both - hadn't thought of using white glue, or colouring it. Will give this a go!
