Awhile ago I picked up a metal USS Constitution in 1/700. I was thinking about starting her but upon further inspection I found the metal masts were bent in various places. How do I get them straight again?

I would simply suggest judicious application of 'strategic' bending using tweezers/needle-nose pliers, and comparing with the straight-edge of a metal scale(ruler)

(Old post, but I thought I'd put up a reply)

If all else fails you could replace the masts with wooden toothpicks (the round kind, but not bamboo!). Wood toothpicks are easier to get the right taper, and are actually quite strong for their size.
