Dear all, I am searching for a new glue and need some good advice. Mainly, I am using ASA-profiles (Acrylonitrile styrene acrylate) which are quite common for architectural modelling and easy to obtain where I live. They are cheap and conveniently to use and quite perfect for my needs. I also have a large number of different Styrene-profiles, mostly Evergreen which are very good stuff but don't bond with the glue I used until now. My common glue is some thin Cyanoacrylate-glue made by Yuki. I like it a lot, but I dislike its brittle quality after hardening. To check it out I bought a small bottle of ethyl acetate, as I heard many times of people swearing on glueing plastics only using the right solvent to merely 'weld' it together - well, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work at my bench. What I want is a thin glue which works for ASA, styrene and resin. Instant bond within seconds is OK with me. I am used not to move wrong parts but rather to scrap them and rebuild. Any guesses? Cheers! C.
