I currently have three ships in the stash that call for Testors Model Masters Light Ghost Gray (FS36375); however, this isn't available anymore (thank you, Rust-oleum). I'm looking for an alternative in a rattle can as I do not have an airbrush at this time. I've seen that Tamiya offers Light Ghost Gray in a spray can (AS-26), but it looks kind of blue to me, much like their Haze Gray TS-32 looks a little green. Any ideas?

What ship are you actually building? Sometimes more accurate paint options are available than what the kit instructions suggest.

Well, there's a couple actually. The first is the USS The Sullivans DD-537 that I want to do in Measure 22 (1945), and I think the Light Ghost Gray is pretty close to Haze Gray (5-H). Well, closer than Tamiya Haze Gray TS-32, I think. Another one is the RN Vittorio Veneto, which calls for a mix of white & Light Ghost Gray; however, the proportions are not given. And the last one is the USS New York LPD-21, which I'm pretty sure calls for Light Ghost Gray from what I've been able the tell, but I don't actually have the kit yet.

Colours for modern USN colours (for your LPD) can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=104955

There are several "conversion" charts out there to change the FS number to whatever you can get access to.

Sprays/rattle cans are unavoidably going to be fewer in options than jars. You'll have to likely settle for something that's close enough.

I guess I should really break down & get an airbrush.
