Anyone familiar with the photo etched pieces and able to explain their trick to assembling 20mm Oerlikons? I've never been so challenged before. I am building the Big E as she looked at the end of WWII. I purchased USS Hornet 1/350 scale and bought 40mm Bofors and 20mm Oerlikons (and Hellcats and Helldivers) from L'Arsenal USA to enhance her AA defense. I should search youtube.com for that. I will try that next, thanks.

If they are L'Arsenal 20mm guns, ignore the "X" marks that tell you to line up the shield with the pedestal. It doesn't work, that way.

The barrel's cradle should be attached to the pedestal, not the shield. I just lined mine up at about a little forward of center of the cradle.

The rest should be self explanatory from the instructions. The bend points are marked, well, I have found. I bend the cradle, attach the shield, insert the barrel and then attach the cradle to the pedestal. Then the handwheel is last.
