What's the best way to weather USN WWII Carrier Flightdecks? I'm working on Tamiya's Bogue kit and want to make the flight deck look used. Thanks.

Spray the wood colour as the first colour, then spray with the appropriate stain colour (deck blue, etc). I was lucky when I did my Franklin that my coverage wasn't very throughout, and some of the underneath wood colour peeked out. You can sand some of the deck blue off afterwards, leaving the wood behind.

Mac, send me an e-mail, I've got pics and ideas from how I did mine.

Another great tip one that I learned from a fellow member named Herne is to spray the deck the wood color, then the top color. After it has dried several days take a pencil eraser and remove the pain by rubbing from the areas that you want to be worn. Hope this helps as well.
