There are a plan and side views of HMS Bellerophon in Burt's "British Battleships of WWI". They are detailed enough to show amount of effort required to try to convert Dreadnought into accurate Bellerophon.

My Dreadnought is coming along nicely too. Just a simple oob build with the addition of a Artwox wooden deck. First time I've used one of these and I must say I'm impressed and will be using one on my Warspite.

Looking really nice. I haven't used any of the aftermarket wooden decks yet. Is the difference in the level of the deck and fittings protruding through it noticable, or do you think they need to be raised up by the thickness of the deck to look right? I've been waiting to see some builds of this kit and have been waiting on working on mine for the WEM PE to start. I thought there would be more action with this kit by now. Hope they do more from this period. Again nice work.

The deck is quite amazingly thin but you do loose height with the deck fittings, some of which have ended up been level with the decks surface It is not overly noticeable though.

I was suprised no one had posted anything on this yet. Guess everyone's waiting for the WEM photoetch. I couldn't wait and jumped right in. Though I will be doing it again properly with brass barrels and photoetch plus the deck again at some time in the not too distant future.

Adrian,

Would you be able to measure the exact thickness of the ArtWox deck? I want to get one, but no one has them in stock at the moment. In the meantime, I think I want to raise all the fixtures, etc. to compenstate for the deck.

I was just looking at the Prontosmodel site. Looks like I have to wait a few more weeks and get their set. If it's like their others, it will be worth waiting for. It's supposed to come out Oct 31. Now to find some one that carries it.

Freetime has their Warspite set so if you're in the U.S, they probably will stock the Dreadnought set as well.

Received my Prontos set today. Truely amazing! So together with the White Ensign set I should be set. Hope to start her after New Years. I am really subprized to hardly find any builds of her on the internet, for being such an important piece of history. I hope there will be more ships available from this period.

Someone has asked this before on this thread, so please humor an old fool...

Can anyone recommend a hull/superstructure color? I prefer Model Master paints (they're what my LHS stocks).

Thanks! :wave_1:

I moved Cap't Pugwash's Dreadnought build to it's own WIP Thread.

Hi there,
For the Zvezda kit, are the colours as called in the instructions correct for a 1907 fit ??
If you have the Pontos detail-up set, does the WEM set add anything ?? Or is the Pontos set enough ?? Strange question perhaps considering whats in the set.
David.

Hi David, hope this is not belated lol.

The Pontos set has most if not all you will need.
Some of course will like the WEM set, but it only replicates the Pontos in most parts for etchings, you will have to purchase the guns/deck extra .
The only reason I had the Pontos add on set was its completeness with near all in one set.
Made life easier for one that did not know to much about this ship :wave_1: .

Hi All,
I’m currently building Dreadnought with Pontos set and require some help.
viewtopic.php?f=59&t=113218
Does anyone have any decent reference of her hull plating and boats they are willing to share?
It would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob.

Hi, just found this thread and thought I would add a little.

I have just bought the Trumpeter 1/350 Dreadnought, does anybody have this version? Any issues with it that I need to know about?

The kit has it's own PE sets, but are these enough for a good detailing?

Oh and going back to that scratch build Dreadnought, one amazing piece of ship there, well done to the builder!!!
