Might as well start this one. I find these ships to have an compact design, quite appealing. Has anyone seen the HP kit of her yet? I'm considering getting this one with the spoils of Christmas. Any books that you guys would recommend, or plans available online? The French Naval archives have nothing, as far as I can see.

I have the HP France in the stash. Looks like a pretty decent kit. I think they are pretty cool looking ships.
The only time I've seen one of these kits built up was in a photo feature from the 2008 IPMS UK Nationals. Click here and you'll find it at the top of the page, just under the photo of the USS Wasp. You can also try the photo feature that Jim Baumann submitted of the same show here, to see if there are any further photos.

The Battleship Paris (Courbet Class) is a battleship launched in 1912 for the French Navy. She is the third unit of the Courbet class, the first dreadnoughts built for the French Navy. She was completed before the outbreak of the First World War as part of the 1911 shipbuilding program. During the war, she was assigned to the Mediterranean, spending most of 1914 providing fire support to the Montenegrin army, until her sister-ship Jean Bart was torpedoed on December 21 by a German submarine, the U-12. She then spent the rest of the conflict providing cover for the Otranto barrage as part of the blockade against the Austro-Hungarian navy maintained in the Adriatic Sea.
The Paris supported French and Spanish troops in 1925 during the Third Rif War, before becoming a training ship in 1931. She was modernized three times between the wars, although she was not considered a first-class battleship. She remained in this role until the Battle of France on May 10, 1940, when she was rapidly rearmed. She supported Allied troops in the defense of Le Havre in June, but was damaged by a German bomb. She later took refuge in the United Kingdom. As part of Operation Catapult, she was captured at Plymouth by British forces on July 3. She was then used as a depot ship and barracks by the Royal Navy and the Polish navy for the rest of the war. She returned to France in July 1945. She is then used as a supply ship. She was scrapped in December 1955. Demolition began in June 1956.
