IMHO, a conversion from the Flyhawk Konigsberg shouldn't be too difficult: if waterlined, plastic strip for the torpedo bulges; new cranes (are these the same type on Prinz Eugen, or similar?); a new mast - pretty simple; funnel caps - fiddly, but do-able. If more difficult please list the parts.

There were not only bulges added, but the hull was widened up to the upperdeck level. The decks are different - planked (Karlsruhe, Köln) vs. linoleum (Königsberg). The superstructure of all three ships was always different. That is true for both the bridge as well as for the rear superstructure. The platforms on the foremast were different, Karlsruhe had 105 mm anti-aircraft guns (Königsberg 88 mm) etc. etc.

The parts which can be used are the 150 mm turrets, 37 mm twins, 20 mm single, some range finders, the torpedo tubes, some boats, the catapult and probably some other small parts.

Thank you Maxim and PaulC, very complete and detailed explanation of the differences among these sisters!

One additional point: Königsberg was part of Gruppe III, which attacked Bergen. The other cruiser in that group was Köln, not Karlsruhe.

Köln was more similar to Königsberg, but still the bridge and the rear superstructure were different and also Köln had in contrast to Königsberg a planked deck.

I am surprised that the new 1/700 Flyhawk Konigsberg has not been mentioned on this thread, considering it was mentioned in at least two other threads.

Perhaps the moderator could please modify the first post of this thread to list the Flyhawk kit as well?

I have a list of CASF threads that I want to update, this one isn't even on that list yet. I'll get to it, in good time.

Meanwhile, a review of the Flyhawk kit was posted on this site earlier this year.

Today, 80 years ago, the light cruiser Königsberg was sunk by Royal Navy Skua dive bomber in Bergen.

I built the model using the FlyHawk kit:

The FlyHawk kit is nice. It is only a little bit complicated to find out, which parts should be used if the Deluxe Edition is built, because there are two separate instructions and the one for the Deluxe parts is not so clear and well ordered. I painted the deck red brown, because I think the photos show the linoleum still to be present on 8th of April (The German Invasion of Norway. April 1940 by Geirrr H Haarr, p. 102). There are also no painted on air recognition markings visible on that photo (except of a flag laying on the forecastle).

Just in: Karlsruhe's wreck has been located. She was initially found back in April 2017, but her wreck wasn't IDed until June of this year. She sits upright in just over 1,600 feet of water with her bow missing and all main turrets still in place.
