Does anyone know if there are any models, in either plastic, or resin, of the E class light cruisers of the Royal Navy? Preferably in 1/700.

There were 2 vessels in this class- HMS Emerald and HMS Enterprise. Both served in the Second World War.

I did an exhaustive search online for models of this class without any luck at all. I even looked at the site of HP models, who have a wide array of rare RN subjects among their selection, only to be disappointed.

This class's ships are substantially longer and heavier than the previous class of light cruisers- the D/Danae class- which are comparatively easier to find in resin.

Seems the only models I could find of this so far are in 1/1250. None in 1/700.

We now have a 1/700 3D printed model option from Shapeways:

1/700 Light Cruiser HMS Enterprise from COB Constructs and Miniatures/Shapeways

Granted, this model will probably be complete upon printing, but one can at least add all the aftermarket PE and recon floatplanes that comes with an E class cruiser, as well as paint the ship according to one's preferred time period.

Since the preview above shows HMS Enterprise in her modified/later fit, one probably has to do a lot of scratchbuilding to change the model to her sister HMS Emerald, which remained largely unchanged in configuration for longer than her sister.
