Hi

I have purchased the Iron Shipwrights 1/350 USS Ward with a view to converting it to a Clemson class DMS (e.g. USS Zane or USS Southard...yep, I'm a fan of the Cain Mutiny :thumbs_up_1: ). Now I know that the basic difference between the Wickes and Clemson classes is the larger displacement (bigger fuel tanks) and rudder for the Clemson...otherwise I believe they are identical. Please correct me if I'm wrong! I also understand that the DMS conversion removed the torpedoes and replaced the 4 inch guns with 3 inch 50 caliber guns. There must also have been the addition of specialised equipment for mine sweeping. Not sure exactly what that equipment was. In the following images (from http://www.navsource.org/archives/11/0914.htm) you can see the reels for the sweeping cables and some other stuff. My question: Is there a source for this equipment in 1/350 and some plans for the Zane or Southard would be handy.
