Hi guys.

I need some advice please, actually I'm confused.
I purchased the 1:200 Trumpeter USS Arizona, I think money well spend on this colossal haha.
When I surf the internet to get more info about her, on thing came to mind, what color was she painted before WWII?
According history, she was dark blue ore Navy blue. Apparently the Navy did not kept record of the paintwork in those days.
Lot of the ship model builders, paint the USS Arizona gray, but is it the right???

Regards, Sietse

Nobody cares? That's funny! Lots of opinions and Tracy has done some excellent research, and the discussion gets heated at times. Truth is nobody knows for sure. She was either dark gray, dark blue, or if you listen to what the survivors say she was in the the process of being changed from dark gray to dark blue, the hull being dark blue and some of the upper structure in the process of being painted. There are written orders but we don't know if they were carried out and if so to what degree.

Read the research and decide for yourself. Look at what some of the others have done. Do what makes you happy.
