This is a topic for all pre-war and World War Two oilers that operated in both theaters. From the Kanawha, Maumee, Cuyama, Brazos, Neches, and Pecos. Three ships, the Kanawha, Neches, and Pecos were lost early in the Pacific theater. The only model kit out there is the resin 1/700 Niko USS Maumee 1942.
There are good pictures of all on Navsource.

I've had these percolating for a few years, but I can't seem to find the time to do the brass sheet. I think I can get four separate versions from the two hulls that I made. Five images starting here:

As always, top notch work Mike! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: I am going to be doing a full scratch build Pecos and Neches in the near future. There is something about these early oilers that I really like.

I forgot to ask Mike. Which oiler is besides Cuyama?

Loose Cannon makes a 1/700 version of the Patoka AO-9 tho not in WWII configuration.

This should cover AO 9, 11 thru 13, and 18 thru 21.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, at least I can get the Niko kit.

I don't have my list in front of me for the Oilers that serviced the Solomons and South Pacific Theatre (several were civilian Oilers), but I know that there was more than the Pecos.

Very much a dearth of ships in this class in 1/700.
