I'm curious, Motoyuki-san - will it have line drawings with measurements, as will as your examples, for various vessels?

Motoyuki-san,
Great news indeed about the issue of your book. I've already pre-ordered mine.

Your website has long been an inspiration to modellers, like me, of merchant auxillaries which played such an inportant part in the Pacific war. Now I need to learn to read Japanese to get the best out of your book!

Terry,
Thanks for posting the photos - keep them coming!

Jim S

Hi Motoyuki,

Thanks for posting the info on your new book, I have pre-ordered a copy.
Is there any info about the Shinano Maru in this publication?

:thanks: Again very thanks for pre-order, Jim san and Harry san!

Dan san,

The book contains 38 ships of line drawing printed in 1/700 scale. To build model in the scale you can utilize it directly  .

Harry san,

Shinano maru is only mentioned in the text as famous early day’s auxiliary cruiser. I left her because many Japanese magazines dealt with the ship when Foresight released resin kit  .

I have finally received my copy today.

I concur with Janschu and others about the excellency of this book which includes some english text, photos, excellent paintings from Kirachiro Ueda, and, last but not the least, 38 1/700 ships drawings, very useful for conversion or scratchbuilding. :thumbs_up_1:

Thanks very much Motoyuki san for all your efforts to make this book published. Can't wait for the forthcoming second volume

Cheers

Gilbert

Hello Jan san and Gilbert san :wave_1: ,
Thank you very much for kind comment for my book. I am regret that I can’t have been telling you whole of Japanese text because of time, space and my English skill limitation  .

Greetings from nearby Iwakuni US Marines airbase  ,

Finally, it has arrived. It's an EXCELLENT resource. I have no more excuses for delaying by Kawasaki class tanker builds :-)

IMHO, this is an incredibly helpful guide for both modelers and anyone interested in the Japanese Merchant Marine. Beyond the models, the line drawings and the partial English captions, Motyuki-san has provided a section outlining the various operations and convoys thruout the war.

It's really a must reference.

Hello Motoyuki San,

Thanks for the Shizuoka show pictures :thumbs_up_1: . I am looking forward to get some more merchant ships from the major Japanese plastic companies. With your drawings, they have most part of R&D already done.

Cheers

Gilbert :wave_1:
