Fairy Kikaku has released another Truk Lagoon wreck, the IJN Nagano Maru in 1/700. It is backordered on the HLJ site.

Fairy Kikaku has released the 1/700 IJN Myoko Maru 1943. She is 364ft with deck guns on fore and aft bandstands. With two 25mm singles amidships. She was built in 1938-39 so, she should be all metal decking, with the only wood being her life boat deck. This should also apply to the Nagano Maru.

Just a quick fyi - Tom's is planning to release a new set, actually a subset of the tanker set, for the IJN merchants. It's primarily a pulley set, but I believe there might also be accommodation anchors, gravity davits, 4 bar railings, maneuvering light arrays, hatches, life rings, maybe even gun bandstands. This came out of a customer request made to Rich at last year's NATS. Not sure of the final item selection and release date, but soon. If Rich reads this, perhaps he'll fill in the blanks.

Thanks for the info, Dan! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: That set will come in handy for my ever growing merchant fleet!

Combrig IJN Kasato Maru in 1/700 is a future resin release. She was built in 1900, and is 405ft in length. She was sunk on Aug.9th 1945, by Russian aircraft, in the Bering Sea.

This should be a very nice kit! :cool_1:
