This is in my opinion one of the nicest looking FACs produced over the past 20 years.

You know, its been said that if an airplane looks right, it flys right. I don't know if that holds true for watercraft in all cases but I have to this class looks incredibly "right". So when can I get it in 1/350?

Hi Russ,
At that small scale I think you may have to scratch build, I am building at 1/50 and that is only 884mm in length.

Hi Gary
You share my enthusiasm for this class...
I am a retired serviceman who builds large scale RC boats and for many years I have been hoping to find a set of plans or a GA drawing , a line drawing of the Willemoes torpedo boat to build at a large scale...with no luck.

Do you have a set of plans or a GA drawing ? My finished model will be
approximately 48-55 inches long...have not decided on scale yet however it will
be fitted with a sound system, rotating bow gun and search radar...so I need
the space..

Cheers from my dockyard

If you can help please leave a comment on my blog

I'm interested in making a model of this vessel as well, since it is such a fine looking craft, so would appreciate any assistance with plans and drawings for the vessel, especially a plan view.

I've found a decent, small-scale side profile drawing of the Willemoes, but it's only a few inches across, so doesn't provide much detail. I'd be happy to share it, if anyone needs a copy.

I'm new to the group, so not sure how to contact others via e-mail here, directly.

I can be reached at the following address: rkentjr [at] hotmail (d0t} com

I'm also interested in line drawings and plans of other Fast Attack Craft as well, e.g. the Norrkoping/Spica, Hauk, Hugin, Storm, Snogg, and Soloven classes, if anyone knows where to find them.

Hi Willemoes fans.
If you care to practise some danish language, an excellent book exist: ISBN:978-87-89022-51-1 "Søheltenes Skibe" printed 2007 by Niels Chr. Borck and Søren Nørby (The title meaning "The ships of the naval heroes" as they were named after officers appointed heroes by history.)
I served in the boats in the 70'ties.
I still like the boats. 9 are scraped , "Sehested" is on display in Copenhagen.
best regards
kim
