Hi, I'm new to this site and I am preparing to start my build of 1/72 Revell schnellboot. Having read the previous posts I am interested in replacing the propellers that came with the kit, any help would be greatly appreciated.

All:
I have obtained a couple of sheets of 1/35 Schnellboot markings. One of them has the tiger logo for the 6th Flotilla. Has anyone seen any photographs of Schnellboots from the 6th Floatilla with tiger logo? I want to make sure I get things right. It seems everything has the panther logo from the 4th!

Thanks, Ron

At a recent model show, I was told by a model propeller toolmaker that the schnellboots shared propellers with U-boats. I had thought the screws had special charateristics. Can anyone confirm this?

Is it possible to build either an R-boat or later class Eboat or foreign MTB from the Airfix 1/72 kit?

Interesting option for S-130 modelers. I just read in Lawrence Paterson's Weapons of Desperation that S-130 was used in trials to carry two Linsen explosive motorboats and the command boat by removing the DC racks. Said boats were carried on davits.

ref. p.166

Anyone have or seen pics?

EDIT: it's the Revell S100 in 72 scale

At least one Lurssen drawing for the S-100 series shows a flakvierling fitted aft. Frank (GERMAN S-BOATS IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR) and Fock (FAST FIGHTING BOATS) state that some boats were fitted with this weapon, but give neither numbers nor photographic evidence. Wiper (GERMAN S-BOOTE) states that the weapon was test fitted to several boats, but again no photographic evidence of the actual fitting. Daillies-Labourette (S-BOOTE) states that S-174 was so fitted, but does not provide any photographic evidence.

I have learned that, if, Mr. Wiper said it was done, then, he's usually correct.
