Hi guys

I never wrote a review before, so this is my 1st attempt

The review concerns the pontoon set, and 400t floating crane set from Takara Tomy, released in 2009. This set was released together with a radio controlled 1/700 Yamato, a harbor set which represented a part of Kure Harbor (with lighting) and this set (and water plates to represent the water)

The kit is pre painted and weathered so it won't be a big problem assembling it

I've been looking for this set for quite a long time, but it is impossible to get here in the Netherlands (or on the internet)

There was a set for sale on the japanese amazon, but I could not order.....

Luckily a fellow collector from japan asked me for a favor, and he asked if he could do something for me, so I asked hymn to order the set, and send it to me (thanks Toshio-san) :thumbs_up_1:

Well, here it is:

I put the box between the Yamato, and the Tug Boat set to give an impression about the size of the box

The parts are all placed in plastic bags (separated from each other to proven damaging the paint)

Also the building description (a small booklet of 13 pages) is placed in plastic

extra information on the racks that are double

Next post I'll post the individual racks ... (is that a good expression ??)

Tom

I've always been intrigued with this kit, so thanks for the post. Released in 2009.

It was one of three kits marketed together.. Centerpiece was a motorized 1:700 Yamato: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90-RrlaYhDQ, which is still available for sale.

The video at this link also shows the two accessory sets with structures, docks, cranes and auxiliary boats. These appear to be out of production, so nice find for you.

Here's a picture of the larger set of dockside structures: http://www.hlj.com/product/TKT32875/Nav
