I saw this kit for sale at a hobby store around Mobile for +- 30 bucks. Worth it? I see you've started adding styene to improve it.

Excuse me ignorance, but is this the Italian cruiser.

If so whats it like, have the Roma and was contemplateing getting this one too.
Is there a PE set for the Pola, as I know you can get the metal barrels for it..

I believe there's a quite extensive update set from an Italian manufacturer.

Well..where do i start.. this kit from HobbyBoss is not what i expected,it�s missing sooo much in details,thats why i�ve been looking for pictures of it so long,the good news is that you get to scratchbuild a lot on this kit,if you�re in to that
Railings and such are just common railings,i haven�t seen any PE-sets to the Pola yet,the barrels are available for this kit in metal.
I have also Roma just sitting on the shelf waiting to be built,but that is a complete different story,it�s a lot more accurate than the Pola,which i think is a disaster,for example...the mast tripod are missing,which i think is a big part of the kit.

I know Atlantic models do fenceing for Italian Battleships and for cruisers also.

But like you would like to find some good pictures/drawings of Italian cruisers.
Maybe someone will put us in the right direction. .

Thanks, Tomppa. I figured there was a good reason why a decently sized 1/350 kit was priced that low. I've been looking into building an WWII Italian warship of some sort. I want to try my hand at that awesome striped paint job.

I built one a while back. It can be a very nice ship with a good amount of scratch building/ After market.

Yes,i was surprised too over how cheap the kit was,but it�s a fun model..if you like to scratchbuild,very hard to find someone who has done a full job on this kit.

I don't nearly have the skills yet to scratch build. I will, however watch with much interest.
