Hallo everyone, after some long anticipated waiting I finally got the the last of the Hipper sisters, the 1/350 scale Weser.
So upon inspection of the kit it looks to be a very basic kit, looks like they took a Prinz Eugen hull and made everything from the deck up new. From the pics I have included I am two weeks in and have noticed a few sloppy ejection points and a lack of fine detailing, that I can forgive to a certain extent since the ship was never completed. The lack of detailing especially below the flight deck does give one the opportunity to be creative, I have added some hose reals, doors (extra photo etched parts) and some of the German square life rafts, it just made sense they would have some. I also took the liberty of changing the paint scheme, the plain grey just seemed out of place, if she was planed to be involved in commerce raiding she would need an appropriate color scheme.
If any one is interested I will add some more pics of my progress.
