Always thought the Takao Class Cruisers were attractive heavy cruisers . Four were made ,
Takao
Chokai
Maya
Atago
In 1939 they were modernized and blisters added to Takao and Atago . In 1943 Maya had them added but Chokai never had them added .
I am making two plugs one with blisters and one without .

Gotta love your reference books, very nice. Looks like a great build. I think IJN heavy cruisers had to be some of the best looking vessels in any era.

The plans showed were the blister contacted each bulkhead . I cut a notch in each for piano wire to sit in .That defines the blister and will keep a nice crisp edge .

Hello Richard!
I build Atago and I have 4 of 6 of your books.
Do you have schemes or drawings of Atago in Imperial Warhips book and Maru 121?

There are two Maya's being built now so when they send me photo's I will post them . Shapeways has lots of 3D printed stuff for the Takao class in 1/96 including the bridge .
