Good work! :thumbs_up_1:
Your Yahagi to April 1945? The last war patrol (Operation Ten-Go)?

Thank you gentlemen! Yes it is modeled in 1945. A 1944 version is available. Less AA guns (18 single mounts versus 28).

In April 1945, Yahagi was the only one of Aichi (stood on the catapult), and only one boat (at the stern). All the excess was removed for his latest campaign.

Thanks to all of you for the kind comments. Update time: I finished installing all railings on the bow section, I installed all remaining AA guns which were primarily on the forward superstructure and bow area (28 single mounts and 10 triples!), I completed the bow staff replacing the plastic parts with brass rod and piano wire, I added additional details to the foremast, I added voice tubes to the upper AA platform and I started installing awing stanchions on the bow. The turrets and main director are only installed for show. I plan to finish the awning stanchions, flat coat the deck and rig the ship in the coming days.

Nice update mate, really impressed with the tidyness of the railings. Looking good, quite curious to see how you tackle the rigging :)

Thanks again for the kind comments! I have finished all rigging, added the launch access stairways with canvas, added all ships boats, added two spare torpedoes, all remaining armaments, window glaze and upper gun directors.

Just wonderful, Joe. The accommodation ladders are magnificent. What are you using for the hawser reels?

Thank you Martin! I'm mounting it in the case right now. Minor flat coat tomorrow and add chrysanthemum and that should do it. 955 hour project. Not sure how it ended up more than the IJN Myoko but the time just seemed to get away from me.

Exquisite aircraft. The 1000 hour effort shows, believe me.

Great job. and let me add because of this post I have decided to try my hand at ship building again. I have order the Hasegawa 1/350 IJN Destroyer Shimakaze 1944 with the Infini detail up set. I plan on starting some time in August but I have some questions I would like to ask. the first one is when you started did you file off the molded support of the linoleum from your deck?Sense this is the first time I will be using PE parts do you have any tips on how to get the best results.
