That would be cool, I think I mentioned that I saw their up coming stuff on the site. I would really like the LSD, the only concern is that they will close deck where the cranes are. From the picture it looks that way. It would be better if it was like JAGS LSD36 Anchorage Class. The other subject is intriguing to me, it would go with all the gator I have.

I am awaiting news if the PE is ready for their current ship, then I will order that. I love seeing the gator you posted. It makes me want to order more of JAGS ships.

John

John,
the photos are from a pre-production kit so the production one might be different. This kit is not the next one to appear. Maurizio told me that next is an MSC ship and some postwar carrier kits will be next. PE will be ready anyday now and will be shipped to me.
Thanks for the kind words about the Jag ships. They are superb and very easy to build. I ll order more for myself too. I m thinking of a second Sacramento, a Stealth carrier and at least 2 more LPD-4s and 2 LSD-36s but all these will be ordered after the Cimmaron class oiler.

So many good kits coming, I will get the JAG's newest first then sneak the Ships & Co Ship in. Sounds as if Ships & Co are trying to fill in a nice niche area of the market. Will the MSC ships be cold war variants? or More modern? Any which way I'll be happy, I told my wife I'll need a bigger model case soon. :eyebrows:

John

its true so many new kits and time is not enough for all of them. Ships and co wiil produce mainly replenishment ships of the cold war era and there will be many types. The MSC ship will be the USNS_Shughart. I include a photo of the ship under construction (Maurizio sent it to me)

Some photos of LPD-4. I chose to build Jag s kit as LPD-4 not only because its the first ship of the class but also because it is the only one that doesn t have a helicopter hangar. Small modifications had to be done to the mast and several parts had to be added so that it would be "modernised". The helicopters are from WEM except the CH-53 which is from a DML kit.

Looks very good so far John nice modifications to the original kit but i guess after modifying Midway to Coral Sea this should be too easy for you.

Some photos of JAGs Anchorage class kit built as LSD-36. It was another very pleasant build as usually with JAG kits and the only problem i had was that the ship looks empty without any vehicles. So i had to put onboard 48 LVTP-7s, 8 trucks, 12 LAVs and 12 Hummers. A SH-60 was added and several other electronics CIWS and other stuuf so that the ship looked in its most modern appearence (early 21st century).

I was doing the annual cleaning of one of the model cases. So, I decided to take a picture of them while they were sitting out.

WOW!!!!! :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo:

10 Spruances, 9 Ticonderogas, 5 Arleigh Burkes, 2 LHAs, 2 LHDs and some other landing ships. That is just great. I surely would like to see more photos of your fleet. By the way how many ships do you have?

Thanks Guys,

I have about 50 ships all together. Some are in a case at a local hobby shop others in my office. Many of the ships are in the gallery here at ModelWarships. This does not include the ones that are one the bench. I am still working on the AOE3.

As for the "fleet", I have been trying to make most of them from Norfolk or Little Creek from late 80's up to current times.

My current favorite is the LHD5 Bataan, I tried to replicate it form a navy news shop during the testing of the MV-22s. I hope to do a LHD3 and LHD7 to complete the class for Norfolk.

John
