Thanks guys! It was a fun build, but took more time than expected. I drilled out the hull drainage ports and opened up the molded slit down the hull. I also added degaussing cable from an old Flyhawk set. Can't beat the price. Won it for $5 at an auction!

Joe, is that a marble slab you are working on? I have a marble slab in my kitchen that looks just like that. If it is, what do you find the advantages to be over, say, a standard hobby work mat?

Thanks,

Bob

Nice, crisp work, Joe. Is that a purposefully worn look to the superstructure as you go along, or is just the lighting?

Thank you gentlemen. The first question is no not ceramic. It's a PVC sheet. Second question yes the superstructure has been given some aging effects. Not complete however.

The support lattice in the foremast was just too thick (see pictures above) so I rebuilt it using plastic rod and stretched sprue:

She is coming along awesomely!! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: i love the way you glue the railings this is by far the most realistic way, i'm to lazy to do it though.. i can't wait to get to my Tone as soon as i move into my house i'll set everything up and go full throttle. I miss modeling it's been harsh lately with all the new changes and other projects i had to finish first.

NICE! Still so crisp and straight. I'm envious, Joe, I admit it.

Dan, I can't tell you what the encouraging comments, not to mention the technical help have meant to me and I'm sure many others on this board. That means more than any well built model.
