Thanks Jaguar1,

Just replaced the 53 gun turret on the DD931, reason for the replacement is the frog eyes are narrow(closer together) on this mount while the other mounts all have wider(more space between them)

also retrofitted all the mk42 turrets by adding a cover on the bottom of the turrets,

,
planning later on retrofitting both ships with a bilge keel, after I add one to the DD conv DLG build that still working on. now have to paint the new turret and the bottom covers on the rest of the turrets. probably do that when I add the bilge keels.

FFG-7 you are correct about the frog eyes, another flaw in the kit, by today's standard, the kit originally produced in 1958 was good for its day, or even into the 1970/80s. This would be another scratch build modification retrofit all the turrets with new and relocated frog eyes more work more funny to add more work. Yet I am seriously thinking of attempting this.

Just made prototype frog eye base, the size of base ring is too large, The only small tube size I have at the moment will use a smaller tube size for production, this just a test of concept.
