This thread represents my first WIP and I chose what I 'thought' would be an easy OOB build. OOB yes, but easy, far from. When I started I was not long in realizing that the hull was terribly warped. Immersion in hot water, three coats of glue and all of it while being held together by around 30 clothes pins.


Electrical tape works very well for masking I have found.

I have expirimented on the lower gun deck and tried to mess with some shading on the paint and with the exceptions of a few small spots, my expiriment failed. Also, the midships section of the deck is also warped as can bee seen in one of the pictures.

Quick update. Did some touch up on the hull and put the black paint on the latticework on the gundeck.

Got the white stripe around the gun deck done. Also started on the cannons for the lower deck as well. As illustrated, the fit from the stern cabin window piece to the hull is terrible.

Several minor things. Got the rudder glued and the first two sections of the gundeck as well. The cannons for the gun deck are poorly cast and need extensive amounts of cleanup.
