Hi folks.
Here's my new project. I got the kit from a friend really cheaply and decided to buy the super detailed set from Griffon Models, it's was on sale (50%) so I got it for only 50Eur :heh:

I would really like to show the model in the water, when It's launching a torpedo, but I'm not familiar with water and how to make it, and this is a big scale, so I don't know how it would end. If you have some advice of how to make this kind of sea diorama with big waves , please reply.

The inspiration came from the Italeri boxart:

Here's 2 days of work:

Beautiful PE, and that for 50 euros. For reference about water, there are different approaches, all in the Tips and Tricks section. Very usefull:

It is up to you which technique suits you. Good luck.

Thanks for the link ;)

Here's the Flak 3.7 used on the schnellboot. It's a total rework, with 129 parts (PE, wire and stryrene) and only 1 plastic part XD

If I'll make the boat in the water, I think I have to add the crew to this Flak, I saw that CMK have some resin figures, anyone have a review? I cannot find any myself.

Here's the photo:

Thanks for the kind words!

Today I made, possibly, the most complicated scratch part of my "career" :woo_hoo:

Thanks, I'm from the town that invented self propelled torpedo's, so I guess I have to do it well.

I hope I get the color right, somewhere on the internet I found a forum thread that said that they used bronze for the head, fins and propellers but only during the early war. Later they started to produce the torpedo's all in steel.

Looks like you will have to throw a heavy coat of future or high gloss varnish on those puppies too!
