@ wefalck,
:sorry: I was away from forums for a while as a kind of therapeutic treatment. There are to many things to do and I had to put focus on items to finish for WMM and this ugly money earning topic.
The floating dock will proceed soon and all in all it will be a quick built for me as there is a real chance to finish it within a year. But before this I have to finish the Koreets and the sort out a method bringing her savely to SMWTby plane this year. Securty checks are extremly unfriendly for ship models.

With best regards
Peter

Back again after a couple of years :wave_1:

I am still proceeding this under my old name as I don´t know how to change it.
To be honest I spent the last years with 1:1 modeling a living subject, me. There was no other way than to merge to my real true personality, Chloé

I truly hope you may be able to accept this.

All the best Chloé Plattner

Of cours that was a really wide gap. I was still modeling but had no idea for taking pictures or updating things.
this picture was probably taken in 2014.

Welcome back Chloe! It is so nice to see a young lady taking an interest in what is normally a "guy hobby". And I must say, your work puts you right up there among the best. Believe me, I know about extended absences. Between real life and you women (namely my wife), my modeling time (ship modeling, that is) sometimes drops way down on my list of priorities. Good luck with your modeling - both types, and when you get the time, let us see how you're coming on your diorama.

(Gee, does this mean now I'll have to clean up my language?!?! )

@ Steinermann, thank you for the "young" lady, thank god that we girls may hide our true age  No worries about your language but being polite gives live always a nicer touch.

Yes as modeling is usually a hobby there is always something more important to do. Not only due to wifes request

Unfortunately I was a bit lazy with taking pictures so there are none available of the painting process. The water was made with this helpful Aquarell paper and acrylic gels. Also the steam launch passing by and the supply barge in the front have been applied in this stadium. And of course again of wood blocks.

That's a great looking diorama!
I like very much how you chose not to include the entire drydock but only the necessary part, resulting in a better composition. :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Congrats on the 1:1 conversion work too! It is always great to have more lady modellers in the hobby!

Cheers,

Marijn

Thank you so much Marijn for your kind comments about model conversions.

Due to very high and unfriendly temperatures for modeling during the last weeks, there was very few progress. I was just fiddling around with 8 small support cranes mounted on the dock.
Some basic works are done so far.

All the best from a melting
Chloé
