I created the base of the case by just buying your cheap pine shelf from the diy store which cost me 6€. Painted with oak varnish and added my brass mounts which are just curtain pole mounts. The two queens look great together. I have ordered the name labels which are simple name tags I created my self online and ordered in plastic mounts. Very effective when on. They cost 25€ including postage. A cheap and effective alternative when you think that a brass one would coat the price of the two for just the letter in. Will post when I have attached.

Today my name tags finally arrived and they were great. I did the cunard logo followed by the names of the ships. They looked really well. You can get these done online for a fraction of the price of brass plates and they look really good. My next mount of qm2 and qe2 will have the same.
They were mounted on the stand. I am now going to finish the queen mary.

Wow, you are far better at building ship models than I will never be. Can you build be a more accurate version of the Revell Queen Mary like yours? I have a large QM collection and have attempted building the model and 1, it failed, 2, it hardly looks like the ship.

-thanks,
Robbie
