Hi,

Another model recently arrived at my yard: the FREMM Aquitaine Frigate - French Navy (Marine Nationale) by Gwylan Models at 1/700 scale.

The quality of this kit is awesome and I submitted a detailed review of this kit to the published at this forum.
Right now I can share with a few photos:

With this new model, all versions of the FREMM frigates are now available at 1/700 scale, namely:

FREMM Carlo Bergamini (GP) - Italian Navy
FREMM Carlo Bergamini (ASW) - Italian Navy
FREMM Aquitaine (ASW) - French Navy
FREMM Aquitaine (ER - Extented Range / FREDA - Air Defence) - French Navy

Hope you like it!

Thanks.
Regards,
Ayala Botto

Hi,

Any suggestions regarding the colour references to paint the NH-90 Helicopter from the French Navy used on the FREMM Aquitaine frigates?
It seems to have a 2 grey scheme camouflage.....
Vallejo references will be welcome.

Thanks.
Regards,
Ayala Botto

Nice to see it completed! Looks good!

Was there anything you had to correct? My Aquitaine is still only with primer and waiting for further work.

Hi,

I have a made few modifications on the original model, namely:

Added decals with the Letters "Q" and "N" at the helicopter platform
Added decal with the pennant number at the stern (with a smaller size of the pennant number decal on both hull sides)
Added a small structure/reinforcement between the mast (part number 3) and the ECM Electronic Jammers (parts number 4)
Replaced the original resin gun barrel of the 20mm Nexter Narwhal gun RWS (part number 29) with a stainless steel piano wire (Gauge 0,12 mm)

Hope it helps you!

Thanks.
Regards,
Ayala Botto
