Ive been working on this model for more years than I can remember... Really! I work for a time and get burned out only to set her aside and do an Aircraft or Steel navy subject. Im back at it and determined to finish the job.. I wish to depict her as she is leaving the midway after her 1803 great rebuild so Ive added a bulkhead forward and will also add the poop deck bulkheads as the Jotika model shows her.. I dont know if these folks got it right but I like the looks of there model,.. :).. I didnt do Nelsons Checker on her gun ports as I figured the yard would leave that to her Capt once she is turned over to him.. Capt Hardy did not take her up till after her rebuild acording to AOTS Victory.. which has all her Capts listed.. I just fitted her top masts and Im continueing her standing rigging.. This model is a beast!

Very nice work! I built one when I was a teenager and really love this kit... but it wasn't anywhere near as good as that one and is long gone. I want to do another one someday.

Hello Bill,

it is on the way to be a great model! Tasty Presentation. Congartulation!

Are still adding a touch of color to the chains?

All the best, Daniel

Yes Daniel I will paint the chains... Still deciding if I'm going to fit her cutters on the poop deck davits.. She carried a wide number of boats during her long service...I have two old plastic cutters from an old Kearsarge model that I believe I can modify for the job.

Very important you did so - it will pay off in no time while rigging!

Keep up the good work, Daniel

Nice work so far Bill.

I am going to build this ship in 1/100 from heller.
Hope to use Dafis PE set for this, after I have finished my 1/180 version.

Great pictures and watching with Interest.

Cheers Capt-P :wave_1:
