so where to start? iam sorry that i wasnt here for over 5months. why? i dunno. back to theme. i bought this kit here in Nitra. is very old kit maybe 50yrs plus. i didnt like many details so i made new ones. eg. windows, interior, color scheme. and i realised that there are sails together with the stick (or how its called) next work. thx revell (monogram) :-D i work on her 3months. this is current stage. i haveto repaint the doors of cannons cause i painted it brown. on red. what i like now? that there will be lighting and the interior will be at least omehow viible (still better than the colored paper that revell forced me to give there) :-D so, thanks for reading this and letting me be with you professionals. sorry for bad english B-)

Beautiful! :thumbs_up_1: Love it, ships of sail are graceful.

Wow, it's really coming along nicely.

I have a special interest in the original Bonhomme Richard because one of my ancestors, one Samuel Nash, served aboard her during the famous battle with a British frigate (can't spell the name right now though). He had been a privateer earlier in the war but was captured by the British and held in Mill Prison for 27 months; naturally, as soon as he got out he went to France and signed on with whatever Continental frigate was hiring. Though unfortunately I don't know in what capacity Sam served, I'm pretty sure that he eventually captained his own ship post-Revolution.

Wow, that is a really honor to have ancestors that have something to do with ships. :thumbs_up_1: The english ship is called HMS Serapis and what is crazy? The ship was destroyed few years later. Sad for every ship though that ended on the bottom of sea/ocean. So much history in it.

In the last days, i was spending my time on the ropes that you see there. For about 160+ of them. They are not very detailed, but in that scale, i dont know more. Lighting is inside. But i will have to cover that holes with one second glue. Iam sorry, that i had to give there the cannons that are just the top of them, i would be more happy, if there would be normal board. But iam happy that i made the cajutes with the windows. It is better than the stickers. The things in back are not glued together with the hull, thats is the reason why there are holes still.

Sweet! :thumbs_up_1: Looks great, that is a lot of rope! I thought rigging a WWII ship was bad... :heh:
