Being a flat top guy, I will be watching this with great interest. Being one of your builds, I will being watching with jealousy.

I have debated on this kit (and CV-4) for some time but dropping the cash on a kit that is questionable to begin with does cause me great hesitation. What do you think of the kit so far?

Over all the kit is good. It has it flaws. The one thing I was concerned about was the waterline was going to be straight. My LPH-3 had a banana shape to it. The Wasp is flat and straight. A modeler said that aft port side at near the 5inch sponsor was not correct. I have to look at the photos to see what he is talking about. I can't build 1/700 ships anymore because of my eyes. The choice is yours if you wish to get it. Happy Modeling

Fix the aft portside bulkhead. Have to add another sheet of plastic to finish it.

Looking good. From the shot it looks like you have done some work with the hangar deck?

Mardis,

Is it the kit or all the things that are needing work or scratch built? Hope you feel better my friend.

Taking a break from Connie. ISW Wasp is not an easy kit to build. Anyhow how I'm going to finish this build if it kills me.

Waiting on the missing parts from ISW. Flight deck lower part of island not glue down. Gun tubs need to be level with deck. Yes I know the 40"mm was not in the tub. Just wanted to see how it look. It will be removed.

Looking good. You mentioned this kit being a lot of work. What have you run into with it?
