Hi ,

I will be building the Heavy Cruiser Zara kit Trumpeter with detail set Regiamarinamas .

Removal of the attachment (fixed shoe) of the towing cables of the paravanes , which will be replaced with a part made of photoetching

Removal of the propellers on both sides, which will be replaced with a part made in photoetching

In the kit the counterbore of the hull to give greater range of shooting to the cannons of 100 mm typical of the class Zara cruisers, (excluding the Pola) is wrong, I proceeded to remake them in PE, alternatively you can proceed using half-wave limes to give the right counterbore.

With a cutter following the curvature line comes a precise cut

Ciao,

New step :

Removal of the external pitches that will be replaced by other in photoetched
Image

Removal of the bulkhead between the ancho deck and the upper deck (which will be replaced by another photoetched along with other two bulkheads) to then have the right curvature on the sides of the ship.

Option of hatch to get down below deck:
1 photoetched part to apply above.
2 removal and replacement with the hatch frame, hatch and ladder in photoeteched.
Also removing and replacing the circular structure (before the door) replaced with a new one in resin

Nice progress.

I stopped my build when I saw you were releasing a upgrade set but unfortunately I had already glued the deck on.
