Just been looking at this on a Czech modelling forum. Can't make head nor tale from the text but i think the pics speak for themselves.

Truly inspiring! In fact, it's motivated me to dig my Truman project back out....

Wonder where he got those deck tractors, anybody recognize them?

Kelly

Those are Goffy models deck tractors. They come 8 to a pack with seperate wheels. And they are fantastic.
I got 2 packs of Ebay (came from germany)

Hopefully before too long Tom (JAG) will have his deck vehicle sets out. (resin, brass and tilly cranes too)

As it happens i received some new PE from Toms modelworks today. PE Life raft canister racks for both the Enterprise and Nimitz.

Thanks for the info Simon, I'll keep a lookout for them (or the JAG set once released).

What are your thoughts on the life raft PE set? I've heard of them but haven't seen them yet. Are they worth it for the Nimitz?

Not sure what they cost (I gave Tom some info on the nimitz kit so got them FOC) As far as im concerned, they add a little more detail. The rafts are seperated into pairs (1 up, 1 down) and mounted seperately. I think they would look really good. Especially if you're going the whole hog and railing all the appropriate catwalk areas. The Enterprise set has some of them stacked 3 high too.

Love his airgroup. The Vigilantes look more like 1/72 than 1/350.

You can paste the link into Google's translator ( http://translate.google.com/translate_t?hl=en# ), and it doesn't do a great job of it, but you can at least get some of the gist of what they're saying.
