Hello everyone.
I finished (98%) the assembly of the crane. Nice part of fun. As a reminder the crane includes 420 parts. For a width at the boom of 280 mm and a height of 215 mm. It weighs 315 grams.
Currently they and 4 subsets. The boom is fully assembled and welded. I still have to put plastic pellets at the level of the axes of rotation and a ladder.
On the picture you can see the stairs. In reality, the latter are on the front face of the vertical tower. To find out why, when I drew them, I was convinced that they were on this face. I'll see if I need to redo a board in 0.10. In that case, I would do it again. Otherwise, they will remain as they are.
I took advantage of it to broaden the diversity of my caisses. In the picture below you can see the diversity of dimensions. In my previous post, I had indicated that it was impossible for me to make very small cases. The proof that if I turned the box ideas and they are superb. The small family will expand by a dozen other boxes. I made the drawings of a fourth plate dedicated to these cases. For Info the largest of the boxes is 10 x 10 x 15 mm.
I am super vigilent when I draw my PE pieces. At assembly and on complicated assemblies (like the vertical tower of the crane), there is the presence of voids between certain parts. Then I tried the glue product 21. And it's great.
For those who discovers. You put some glue in the void, then immediately after you put on the glue the white powder. In contact with this powder, the adhesive solidifies immediately. And without waiting you can start sanding. I did like that, for the vertical tower and other place of the crane. The result and nickel.
Okay, now I'm going to attack another part of the diorama. The part of the building with small cranes on portals. I think it's going to be great. If I did not do too much BS by drawing them. Because the first draft was catastrophic.
Best Regards
Alain.
