I've started this kit now. I'm mostly done with the hull. I've already received some good input from Christian (thanks!). I'm using the Super Gold Medal upgrade set. There are a lot of parts in that. A lot! I won't use all of them, but it provides a bunch of good options for things to consider.

I have liked the looks of the Derfflinger ever since I saw a drawing of her in Landström's book The Ship. Lovely lines.
