I've been wanting to start this thread for a bit now. I got the kit from Martin J Quinn and I was very pleased with dealing with him. In the kit was the MK Design upgrade kit and was really pleased with it. Upon first impression of the Trumpeter kit I was pleased as well. After starting the kit I was fairly disappointed with it. Nothing seems to line up well and it seems there is way too many injection points. The title Brozona comes from my brother wanted me to build him a Arizona kit 5 years ago and I finally got around to building one for him.

I really had trouble with the paint. The hull became rough looking ,so after 2 coats of red, I primered and finally got a even coat. Then the paint I chose for the gray on the rest of the ship was junk. I actually asked for a refund from Krylon the first time ever doing so with any spray paint.

After that this is where I'm at now. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

Prowannab,
You are of to a good start! I'm about to complete mine. I've been on a long break and finally getting it finished. My build thread is the 1/200 scale 2016-2017 group build.
My overall advice is when you put PE yardarms on, make sure you have a way of pinning them on to the top. Trumpeter has you just gluing them on, but they won't stay on when you inadvertantly brush agaist them, etc. You will, just a matter of how many times!
Randy

Thanks Tegunn. Well I can't believe I did this. I think I have a solution,But would like advice on a slow setting glue? I was thinking about normal white school glue,But I'd really appreciate your thoughts! Thanks in advance!

I cut out the decking on the 02 level. Research showed it was still linoleum(red brown- color doesn't have to be exact since not much is visible) so the wood isn't needed. If you must keep the wood, trace lightly around the walls from tab to tab then CAREFULLY cut it out gradually so it has good plastic to plastic contact(which you have to do if you removed it entirely). Then use plastic cement.

Thanks. I think I need to clarify. I was supposed to glue the walls in, then the guns and then the gun deck to the walls. What I did was glue the walls to the gun deck and I did not glue the guns in. I'm looking for a slow setting glue. So I can place the glue for the walls and the guns. Then reach through the gun holes in the walls place all the guns . Finally set the walls and gun deck into place.

If it's a styrene to styrene connection, for slow dry and control I use good ol' tube cement.

Check the height of the guns before you glue anything. The guns sit too high unless you ream out the holes to lower the base of the guns.
Enjoy
