top is an extra grue not in kit for starboard side smallboat lifting

here are some pics of how she is now with all I have dry fitted
I prefer for some riggs my cupper wire of 0.1 mm above stretched sprue
those on now are mainly stabilizers for mast....6 will come in the back and they would pull mast backwards too much ...so..prepare things before its too late
I saw one modeller having much more details on that top deck....not a fan of over doing stuff..there was very little conduct or control material up there.

a few extra's on now...more riggings, the modified grues...the scratch build rearmast (not finished yet)..more wall details...painting...
well you don see much difference between this and previous picture...but much time was spend...its the thing when you go doing so small details...much time spend for gross visual ... very little effect.

Hi there Triumph and all,

I built this very same ship some years ago. Take a look :

http://www.steelnavy.com/HellerElbingGMB.htm

Nothing special, really, with a couple of (now) very obvious mistakes, but some of my solutions could be of some help.
Nice going from Spain,

Willie.

And hi again,

Actually I had forgotten this page at all, my very first constructions:

http://www.modelshipgallery.com/gallery ... index.html

Three Hellers and one very early Revell.

Brgds again,

Willie.

Hi Willie,
nice having you here.....I can say openly ...I have seen your build and studied it since long before you mentioned here..some of your stuff I looked at and build something close like..some not, as we all have a certain view of things.
you don have major mistakes on your ship....I like it a lot and used it as an example for mine
some like camouflage colors...well,..I don't, as it makes it more difficult to see everything on the ship (reason of camouflage in the first place lol)
I like my ship decks pure not too much extra for I want the ship lines to be seen clearly.
and we all make mistakes...some we see later and some on purpose as it looks better (to our view) and the eye wants something as well
I know my grue-crane's are not 100% as original...but I find them looking swell..so...its ok for me.

as I want to complete the German subs...I bought a few more
- a type IX C....great because exactly half way between type VII and the type IX D
- a type II A and C ...total catastrofy...they are exactly same size as the type II B I already made...this is wrong as the A should be about 4mm shorter than B and C should be about 3 mm longer
so all kits sub type II have same kit base....even if A and C have in reality more than 3m difference in lenght..... so disappointing
so I'll be making the type IX C only...the others...well donno yet
